Three Crank Six Grooved Gear Mechanism
This gear series toy is designed for children aged 5 and above. By manually operating different cranks, the cranks can move continuously while the gears rotate intermittently or at different speeds. Through playing with it, children can learn about the principles of intermittent motion in a three-crank, six-grooved gear system and the basic principles of dynamics. When operating, the cranks drive gears of varying sizes, colors, and shapes to rotate either intermittently or at varying speeds. In addition to providing an experience of mechanical beauty and an initial understanding of physical rotation, it also helps develop children’s ability to make comparative observations, hand-eye coordination, control of large and small muscles, and hands-on and cognitive skills.
At the same time, it can transfer the rotational principles of the three-crank, six-grooved gear system to everyday scenarios, further enhancing children’s understanding of the complex rotational principles that exist in real life. This toy material can also be used as part of designing wall displays in the science discovery room at kindergartens.
