Classical instruments

The carriage pulling the palanquin made a jingling sound. Bells come in many varieties, such as round tiger-head bells, slender wind chimes, and semi-circular open copper bells, each producing a different sound.

The bell tower houses bells that produce sound when struck, and they were a traditional Chinese musical instrument from ancient times.

Unlike the Western drum set, ancient China often used wooden drums with a skin surface that were larger in size and vertically mounted on stands. The performer needed to hold the drumsticks and vigorously swing their arms to strike the drum surface and play music.

Another common ancient instrument was the wood clapper, which is now commonly seen in cross-talk performances.
